According to official data, BYD Auto sold 44,606 vehicles in April, including 25,034 new energy passenger vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 104.2%, setting a new monthly high this year.

To date, BYD has accumulated sales of 990,000 new energy passenger vehicles, and is about to become China's first automaker to sell over 1 million new energy passenger cars.

Breaking down by model, the Han continues to lead the large C-segment sedan market, with 8,177 units sold in April and cumulative sales exceeding 75,000.

The sustained popularity of the Han confirms Wang Chuanfu's statement: "Safety is the ultimate luxury for electric vehicles." The Han uses ultra-safe Blade batteries, and its health safety has been certified by the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute, earning a five-star rating in the "China Vehicle Health Index" and the 2020 Recommended Model honor.

Other model families also performed strongly: the Song family sold 15,740 units, the Tang family 1,636 units, the Qin family 6,943 units, and the e-series 3,030 units.

Notably, the Qin PLUS DM-i, the first model equipped with DM-i super hybrid technology, sold 3,603 units in April.

DM-i is an electricity-focused hybrid technology, acting as a disruptor to fuel vehicles, accelerating the transition from fuel to new energy vehicles and achieving the goal of reducing oil consumption in the automotive industry.

In March, the Yuan Pro was launched, marking the first model this year to switch to Blade batteries.

In April, the Yuan EV sold 1,997 units, up 115.7% month-on-month.

As BYD's entire pure electric lineup switches to Blade batteries, we look forward to seeing how the future pure electric models will explode.

At the Shanghai Auto Show in April, the Tang DM-i, a key DM-i model, was officially launched, entering the 200,000 yuan SUV market.

The Tang DM-i boasts an impressive minimum fuel consumption of 5.3L per 100 kilometers when the battery is depleted.

BYD also unveiled a new model, the EA1, built on the e-platform 3.0 and adopting the new "Ocean Aesthetics" design concept.

As a "new pure electric species" for young people, this model represents an important move by BYD to rejuvenate the brand and will open a new e-network series.

Speaking of the e-platform 3.0, BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu revealed that it combines four major advantages: intelligence, efficiency, safety, and aesthetics.

It not only further integrates and standardizes core components but also constructs a new body structure, electronic and electrical architecture, and the vehicle operating system BYD OS.

This will become the cradle for the next generation of electric vehicles.

It is believed that with the technological iteration of electric vehicle platforms, BYD will achieve even more impressive sales results.
